          Solution: Dawn Dishsoap and Vinegar!!

My dd came home from school with a huge clump of the ungodly stuff in her hair, from root to tip. It was dried hard as a rock. Thanks to my level-headed sister, it is 100% out. The solution used was Dawn Dishsoap and vinegar. Warm water was applied as we worked the goo out piece by piece. Her beautiful hair is saved! Good luck!

            Mom

YES!! Palmolive and Vinigar mixed softened it enough to work it out with my fingers and a fine tooth comb! Yay! Thank you! Followed it with a good conditioner.

              Vinegar and Dawn

OH MY GOSH!!! Vinegar and Dawn dish soap worked to get home made slim (elmers glue and tide mixture) out of a 10 year olds hair! I wasn't very optimistic, but within 30 minutes we had it all out (and it was a big glob)! Thanks so much for this post. I just soaked the hair in the vinegar and dawn (equal parts) and then combed it out a few strands at a time. Thanks for the post it was a life saver!

                Vinegar takes the slime out

Soak the hair in vinegar (will Burn cuts or sensitive skin) you will see the slime start to loosen from the hair. I rubbed my fingers working the hair free .... Wash after

                    Goof off and conditioner

I just googled how to get this stuff out. Found a general answer and went to town. I used good off and conditioner. Slid most the goop down her hair strands and conditioned and combed out the rest! Good luck if this happens to you. I thought it would be more of a nightmare but only took about 30 minutes

                      slime in hair

                      Coconut oil worked!!
Rub it in and let sit 10 minutes. Then comb out slowly.
                      And its natural. no chemicals.u

                        Blue dawn and white vinegar

My granddaughter got the whole batch dumped on her head. We tried coconut oil and then goo gone. Neither worked. The thing that worked was a combo of blue dawn and white vinegar. Made a batch and laid her up on the counter with her head over the sink and sprayed the mixture into her hair and rubbed it in. In a few minutes it started to liquify where we could rinse it out. Giving her a bath with a good hair wash now. It was pretty miraculous.

                          Clarifying Shampoo

My daughter put Slime in her hair (glue, baking soda & contact solution) I tried everything! Vegetable oil, conditioner, goo gone, etc. I worked some clarifying shampoo into her hair and let it sit for a minute and the slime turned into a sludge and I was able to brush through her hair with a detangling brush and then a comb which got everything out .
