Gas, turpentine, nail polish remover and WD-40 will most likely break it down but I would have the fire department there just in case.

Maybe its time to cut all the hair off and start over?

Ok so the mayo and the vinegar didn't work either and I have accepted defeat. They did try the WD40 at home and it didn't work either. At this point they are so determined to save her hair that they've resorted to freeing her hair one hair at a time . They've started at the bottom and have gotten about 1 1/2" free in 2 days. They're willing to start at the bottom and work their way up and I say power to them. I just clip the clump up and out of her way so it doesn't get in her face when she plays ::

Moral of the story: There is no kryptonite for the cheap glittery gak stuff from Target. Do not get it in your hair or clothes.

is it in a place where they can maybe lay her on a table and sort of chip it to break it out? NO I dont mean hammer her head, but if it's lower down maybe they can just break it up a bit?

I would say maybe pour olive oil on and let sit for a few minutes but pour it on where the goo and hair meet (so it can get underneath).

comb it gently, and put rubbing alcohol on it. The rubbing alcohol should dissolve it a bit.

Yes I did try the vinegar but that did not work. I even left it on the clump (between a folded paper towel moistened by vinegar) for 15 minutes. The stuff didn't even soften a tiny bit. The clump starts near her head but hangs down about 6 inches. It's about a 1" section of her hair near her scalp and she got the stuff in her hair close to her scalp all the way down to the end of her hair (about 6").

I'll relay the info about the olive oil to her uncle. He has managed to free up the ends of her hair (not sure how) but I'll recommend having her lay down and them cracking the stuff loose away from her hair. That's a great idea. This stuff is HARD like dried up crazy glue or something.

Nothing ended up working with this stuff . Her uncle just kept cracking the stuff and breaking it away little by little until finally it was all gone.

                              Found the answer!!!!

This just happened to us 10 minutes ago. I used olive oil and a lice comb. The olive oil smoothed everything out, but it was the lice comb that came to the rescue!!
