I did put her down today at 10. She slept for 30 mins. Hopefully that was enough sleep time for her. DCK's are down at 1:00, so I think since she only slept 30 mins maybe 1:45??? I need the break of all kids asleep at the same time but I want to meet dd's needs first.
Maybe lay her down at 1:00 with the children and then get her little body use to laying down at that time so when your transition she is ready for it at that time.

Country kids has a good idea. My DD wakes up around 8/830 and goes down at noon with the others. She knows the routine. All daycare kids get their mats I cover them up, tuck tuck, say a prayer with them if they choose, then I take her to her crib and do the same thing with her.

Yeah 5 hours is along time for her to go without a rest. Wishing her (and you) luck today? I would stick to your new routine though for at least a week before you give up on it.

Thanks! I did put her down with the others and she went to sleep without issues. I hope to get at least an hour and a half of sleep out of her!

This is not my first child, but I worked outside the home with my first. My first was also unusually verbal, so I did not have these issues. It feels like my first sometimes bc the two are so different!

Nap situation: We are transitioning to one nap this week. I am struggling with whether or not to put her back to two, or to ride it out and give her some adjustment time. I dont know if one week is enough time to adjust or not?? The transition was so easy for dd1 and all my daycare kids.

I think dh is going to have step in. He tries but gives up within seconds of her calling and reaching out for mama he gives her back to me.

For hitting- I have recently been putting her in the same place, on a rug. I guess consistency is the key here and hope she will get it?

Last night was so embarassing when she flipped out. We were with all of our friends kids, and here I am, the only one with multiple kids, and I run a daycare, and my child was the one who could not be controlled. Yes, there wre many factors that led up to it, but I just was mortified. We had to leave early.
I would definately try to go back to 2 naps. There are many children out there, that really do need the 2 naps!! My girls all did, til around the age of 2

I agree with this! My dd is going to be three in sept and is just now on a one nap a day schedule.. And even now sometimes she needs two. Some kids just benefit from more sleep than others. Screw what the books say, she's basically telling you she needs more naps

It worked! Dd took 30 min nap this am, and 2.5 hours this pm! She's still a mommas clingy girl, but not crabby at least!

Glad to hear! I would just stick to both naps still till she is ready for just one. You'll know when that is because she will just not sleep in the mornings.

Also, with summer coming and being outside, she may take much longer naps because of all the fresh air and playing hard.
