File bankruptcy and the 30K will go away.
We just had to do that with about the same amount, all credit cards and unsecured loans. It's a lot of paperwork and well worth every page. That alone will make you feel like you are drowning.

No, bankruptcy won't work for us. The $30K in debt is my hubby student loan one personal loan and the auto. We have no credit card debt, I believe in purchasing everything in cash when we can.

          Thanks anywhoo!

In about a week I will make the final (about $500) payment on my $32,000 student loan debt. It took me 5 years...but the end does come!!!

If I had any other debt I would totaly look into the David Ramsey thing....sounds like a great plan!

            Best of luck

So that's why my credit card fees have been going up and my dollar is worth less!

I started a business a few years ago that lasted only two years. Never drew a check and paid 8 employees. Was gossing $1.5 million a year in sales. I ended up still losing $200k. I am still paying it off. I hated laying everyone off. The printer copier that I leased was in my name for 5 years. The Canon lease manager told me I could just let them repossess it. I said no way and over the remainder of the lease paid over $15,000 while it sat in storage. If I put my name to an obligation I fullfil it.

I don't know everyone's situation but for me loans just don't disappear. I wish they did.

Yes, I agree. Not fun but that is how the world works.

Today I had to end the Easter Egg hunt bc all (but one) kid was too upset about the other picking up egss too, or they wanted that one, or the only wanted pink ones.....it got out of control in under 5 minutes. I think someone also posted about town that had to shut down their hunts bc of Parents. What is wrong with this world!?!?!
