Sign for Front Door

Does anyone have a sign they post on the door during the day regarding people who come by wanting to sell you something or enlighten you?
In the past week, I have had 2 people spreading the Lords word and one who wanted to come in and clean my carpet(these guys were very persistent)! I want to put something on the door regarding my business hours and how I will not take these types of disturbances during the day, but don't know how to word it so it doesnt come off as snotty, but enough to get the point across that I won't be friendly if they persist on ringing my bell.

I wouldn't write it on my door that I was alone with a herd of kids. I'd answer the door, tell them i'm busy and to come back after *whatever time you're done* and close the door.

I'd be a little paranoid telling anyone coming to the door that you are alone in the house with kids. I watch too much CSI and criminal minds etc

I would just put no soliciting and don't answer the door! I don't answer if I don't know who it is. There's too much liability watching other people's precious children!

Then they surely wouldn't be looking for me at my daycare....they would come to my house! LOL!!

Once, I had someone come to "spread the word" and I told them I was super busy at the moment and one of them said, "Are these all your kids?"

I said, "Yeah, that's why I am so busy!"

They never came back...:confused:

mine says my dog(which I dont have one) can get to the fence in 3.5 seconds, how fast can you run?

If they knock I just say go away and I shut the door....I dont care who it is.

Once I did have a carpet guy knock again and I told him, hey look I don't want what you have and I don't want you here. Leave or I call the cops because you are tresspassing.

Oh, that's ok....I am kind of an odd duck. I run my daycare out of a home I don't live in and go home to a nice clean quiet one afterwards! LOL!!

There are a few providers here that are similar. Meeko, Sugar Magnolia and I can't remember who else....
