Parents supply diapers. I supply wipes. I get the big box at costco or whatever I have coupons for. As for creams, I use vaseline, if a parent wants me to use something else, they provide it. Mostly because I dont want the liability of using something and being held liable or blamed for something that causes more irritation. On occasion, I have some parents donate wipes but its not required. I have thought about changing it to have parents supply a thing of wipes at the beginning of each month, because I use them for alot more than babies bottoms, but as of right now all my parents are doing really well following all the rules. *fingers crossed* Scared to change it up!

I began providing diapers and wipes a couple years back when parents started taking longer and longer to bring in a pack. It was 3 weeks sometimes.

Parents supply diapers, wipes, and creams when neccesary. I send home daily notes so I just write "He/she will need diapers(or diapers & wipes) next week" on those when I start to get low.

I supply, I used to not, but I hated waiting for people to bring diapers if they were out, and sometimes it was my fault, because I kept forgetting to write it on the sheet or remind them, So I raised my rates(the only time I ever have) and I didn't say it was because of diapers, and then I started supplying, so in a way, I up'd my prices to cover the cost, and then its also a tax deduction on top of that.....I won't supply pull ups though, I have been, but thats more expensive, so I'm done doing that one, and I only do pull-ups for naptime, but still I hate buying those.

                Great Thread!

So I'm thinking of starting to provide wipes/diapers but only because I'm increasing my rates across the board. I live in an area where their is a daycare center and/or home provider or better yet a SAHM on every corner. Offering dirt cheap care. So in an effort to keep up-stand out from the rest I may offer diapers/wipes/baby food...But not formula. I have my first dck withdrawing next month...there goes $560 a month and then two rate decreases come June; so charging the same across the board is a must for me to make ends meet. I will still due a tier rate based on age, but it will be a very wide range before rates will decrease. My NEW age groups will be-

                Infants-11mos
12mos-3yr(this is the age for potty/table/manners etc training) IMO the hardest age outside of 5-12 age
                4yr non-schoolers
4yr old pre-k (half day)...in my area some kids only go to pre-k half days.

Have y'all ever thought of (the ones who supply) emailing the diaper companies for coupons? I know my friend with a LO emails them monthly/every 2 months for her babe, so i'm sure they'd still send DCproviders coupons.
