Parents bring diapers by the sleeve (lasts about 2 weeks). I supply wipes. I got tired of parents sending crappy Pampers or no-name wipes and so now I supply Huggies Wipes.
Parents bring their own diapers, wipes, and creams.
In almost every interview I have had parents ask if I provide those things- to me I think it is very odd to have a provider buy your kids diapers but I suppose it is done???
If I provided diapers there woud be a $25.00 per week surcharge I suppose (at least).
I do supply them and my rates are little more than other providers. It doesn't cost me much in the end and I don't have to put up with crappy leaky diapers or the parent who rations them.
Parents supply diapers/pull-up/swim dipes, wipes, formula, anything a child needs above and beyond my time, my love , meals and craft supplies It would be a huge hassle for me any other way!
I have the parents supply diapers...I supply the wipes because I am one to use A LOT of them at changing time...I coupon and stock up when I see a good deal.. last summer I bought around a 100 packs of huggies(the refill packs) for about a $1 each!
Parents supply diapers. I expect a whole large pack and when I run low, they are to bring another full pack. No diaper bags allowed. No two or three diapers at a time.
On the first of each month, each parent brings a pack of wipes and I work my way through them. If I run out before the end of the month, I supply them. They provide creams etc. of their choice.
I use powder, which I provide, at every single diaper change just because I like my little ones to smell nice!
Parents supply diapers in bulk and I let them know when they are running low. I supply wipes and desitin- usually it's the store brand of desitin. They are welcome to send in different ointment or a specific brand of wipes for their child if they choose to.
Parents bring all diapers ( pull-ups and swim diapers ) I provide the wipes - I needed wipes like every week so I just have them pitch in once and awhile but I provide the majority of them.
I understand why some of you choose to supply diapers, wipes, etc, but I would never ever choose this option.
Parents bring me everything their child needs, other than craft supplies which I supply.
I created a simple spreadsheet and attached it to a clipboard with a pen. I have columns for each kid: date, name, diapers
I don't have a specific change table area, I also was running out of room in my storage closet once I become licensed and have more kids. So I have a section of my fish tank cupboard cleared out where all the diaper needs are stored. Because some of the kids wear same diapers and same size, I started getting mixed up on whose was whose. I made the spreadsheet, each day I mark down diaper changes and if they were BM's then I mark that, to show why we went through more that day. Then in the diapers section at the end of the day, I write new diapers amount. If parent brings a package and child still has 5 left, I write + 72 or whatever. Saves me a lot of time, and when I hit about 15 diapers left, they send me a new pack by the following week.
I provide everything except diapers. Parents bring a package and when they are almost gone I write on the last diaper for the day "Diapers Please" with a happy face. Parents get a written reminder and I don't have to remember to tell them. If they should forget the next day they get a sad face. Third warning and they get a mad face and get stopped at the door in the morning and told to go get some. Only twice has that happened.
I supply diapers and wipes. I'd rather not worry about reminding parents to bring them in. If a child needs a specific brand, then they bring them. I didn't want to worry about having 5 different wipe boxes either... My rates are slightly higher than average, but I think my program is higher than average, so maybe the diaper cost is not covered by the increase.
