Yay for actually showing up and getting pt care out of it too! I am hoping to get a pt infant and another 3yr old ft if they both show up for the interview and sign up...fingers and heart crossed that i geta couple good families in!

Well that was short-lived. I just went out front to find the lady that I just interviewed across the street at the other daycare. I helped her load her kids into her truck and came back into the house. As soon as I left, she went to their house.Comment

She took the packet home to fill out and bring back on Thurs. I also told her she could pay Thurs morning when she brought the kids. No signed contract.
As of right now, I don't know whether she will show up on Thurs or not.Comment

I am sorry if what I am about to say is thread stealing i don't mean it to be but your above post is the exact question I have been asking myself since all my no shows the last few weeks.
With everything that you have been thru with the no shows and the woman going next door to the other daycare right after interviewing with you.... How do feel now about giving your packet to someone to "bring back"?
Does it bother you to think maybe she was comparing your stuff to the womans next door or any other for that matter? Maybe even showing them? Does your packet contain your handbook and or contract?( My hand book and contract are combined) :confused::confused:Comment

Yes, my packet contains everything. I really don't care if she showed my info to the neighbors, there's nothing secret in it. All of my neighbor's info is online on their website.
I won't say anything about her going to the neighbor's unless she brings it up first.Comment

Well I had my drop in yesterday and of course the time I take 30 sec to go pee while two of the children are playing in the adjacent room and the baby is in a pnp in another room is when dcm walks in
. She was talking letting me know it was her and I thought it was the older dcg haha...oh well, I do have to go to the bathroom at some point in the day and wasn't expecting her for a few, we were getting ready to go out and I figured we would be outside until pick up. She took my contract home with her said she would look it over and talk w her hubby about it. The older dcg also said I was being mean to her in front of dcm, ugh..I just laughed and said oh, because I expect you to listen and make you follow our rules? When I asked her mom about it, someone in their family says that so she has been saying, gotta love the timing of her saying it with the potential dcm though. oye vay!
I am hoping she decides to sign up and that I get this child but if not, I am sure someone will come along soon, that's what I keep telling myself that the right families will come along! I have another visit/interview scheduled for tonight so hopefully they will show and sign up, the mom seemed a bit desperate and what she was saying about family members and another daycare caring for her child was a bit out there so I am hoping that she is not a PITA but actually a caring parent who has had a couple bad situations with child care.
