I get asked alot about what kind of soup I serve. I buy european noodles alot from the deli and I use vegeta, but I'm not sure if parents know what I'm talking about, but their kids always ask for my soup.

so we make our own cabbage rolls, because I'm european I only know in my languange what sour cabbage is. Is there another word for it, its like pickled gabbage.
pickled red cabbage is rot kohl (northern german) or blau kraut (bavarian version)

My mama used to make cabbage rolls...kohl roladen, and this awesome cabbage stew with potatoes and beef and lots of pepper...oh man! waaaaa I miss my mom!

ALL hot dogs gross me out. I don't care what kind or how they are cooked. The only way I will eat one is if it is the only thing besides me that survives a shipwreck on a deserted island and even then only if I couldn't find anything else suitable for consumption.
...I grew up eating it all....the german natural casing wieners (knack wurst) are the best. I ate blood sausage (blut wurst), liver sausage (leber wurst), and blood and tongue (zungen wurst). I can't bring myself to touch the blood stuff now, but the rest I still eat, if I can get it from a german sausage maker. My dad loved soulze, head cheese, I think it's called here. ewww....and pigs hocks! blech!

I grill my hot dogs on the skillet or one of those grills you make pan cakes on...Kids love it...doesn't mind whether it's microwaved or grilled on the stove or on the grill. But I've never heard of boiling them in water....
