Isn't it true that kids don't get sick from the weather being cold but from being cooped up in a house with a bunch of people that may be sick?

Oh, I mess with the parents now!
When it's raining and the parents call me and ask what they are doing, I tell them they are outside making mud pies in the rain.
They have known me for 3 years and they know my personality now. The moms get a kick out of my jokes but I would never say that to the dads because they are too serious.
They still do the 5 layers every day.. I just take it all off when they get here

Yay! It's too bad they couldn't use common sense and I hope they realize how good they had it with you.

It's possible, I'm not sure, but it makes sense!

In Arkansas, 60 degrees is PERFECT weather for shorts and tshirts!

Children do not get sick from being outside in the cold, or even with a wet head-. What breeds germs is being inside, cooped up, in a nice warm toasty house that is full of germs. I talked to an ER nurse and doctor about this. Have you ever noticed how cold the ER and hospital is? Its that way to kill the germs in the air. Germs cannot survive in cold only warm air or even better yet warm, moist air.

This is my biggest pet peeve of all when a child does not come dressed appropriately for the weather. Especially when the parent is all bundled up... Also i feel the pain i have a 4 yr old almost 5 and the jacket they bring him in is a 24 mos in size, to top it off hes always in short sleeves and his pants are always high waters.. Then he wants to tell me hes cold, Im sorry i keep my heat at 70 and it aint going any higher i can barely afford it the way it is...
