Things Daycare Workers Would Like The Parents To Know!

I was actually quite surprised at most of the replies from parents. I guess I half expected the moms to get upset or defensive but I was very pleased to see that many never even imagined that there were parents out there that did those things. It was a very nice surprise to see that many of them appreciated and respected their child care workers. Made my day
Like I said, you could definitely tell who didn't "get it". It seemed like the majority did though. I wish these people lived around me!!- Flag

The dad hitting on the provider?? That is so creeper. Has anyone actually had that happen? I'm so hideous these days since I never leave the house I think I'm safe
Great list though.- Flag

I was surprised by the nasty comment about us labeling the kids clothing discreetly inside of the garment (expensive winter coats).
We do it to pick up the ball THEY dropped. It is to protect THEIR child's belongings. Parents should be doing it themselves. I often have kids with the SAME exact coats because that was the popular choice at our local Walmart this season.
I know for myself, I launder them FOR the parents when they get filthy on the playground before sending them home. Simple courtesy, IMHO. Having them labeled makes it possible to get them back to the appropriate cubby. Especially when each child has SEVERAL coats to keep up with like my clients.
5 of my DCK's wear the same size, are the same sex AND shop at walmart (now) for all their clothing. I'd challenge ANYONE (over 30) to keep them from getting into the wrong cubby WITHOUT the magic beloved sharpie.
I have 3 kids wearing red "Disney Cars" sweatshirts just today....

It happens...at my other job the guys have been known to watch the center cameras of each of their kids and rate tushes on a 1-10 scale as a source of entertainment. They LIVE for the low crawl, wedgie yanking, tramp stamps and "positive thong sign".
They'd joke about trying to get their wives to swap over to the "hottie" center (where the high school girls worked the afternoon/closing shifts)....
At first I thought they were watching football by they way they were cheering and yelling...- Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.- Flag

I do it because like you I always need an extra set of everything here. When the kids get dirty or wet I change them into their spares and throw the dirty clothes in with my kids clothes or with the other DC laundry (bibs, blankets etc). It's IMPOSSIBLE to try to figure out who's stuff belongs to who when you just washed clothes for 6 kids.

Good I'm not the only one that launders them. I do it because like you I always need an extra set of everything here.
