OMG! Make all the crying/whining stop. You would think I had 5 babies here today instead of 2. Babies are beyond tired and won't sleep. The 3 older ones have horrible coughs, runny noses, and are just plain whiny. The oldest has cried on and off all day because "nothin my way". Apparently she feels nothing is going her way. No one has slept well the last few nights apparently either, so that isn't helping. Calgon.....take me away! Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday alreadyhappyface

My assistant was almost 10 minutes late for work today. It was freezing (-20) so instead of having my own kids wait for the bus I had planned on driving them to school. I even emailed her to let her know that I needed her to be ON TIME because of this. Because she was late, we were late. Not cool.
But really, your boss shouldn't have to contact you to ask you to be on time for your job. I know I need to address it and I will next week when she comes. But I was too hot to do it today.- Flag

First kid of the day goes to toy area after breakfast, picks up a doll and rips the pacifier off it. (it was attached to the outfit with a string.) Really??? If you can't play nice, don't play! Happy New Year!

Another day in paradise
Ong this child is the winiest kid on the planet!! She is so starved for her moms attention it's sad. I know her mom knows it because we've talked about it. She struggles with quitting her job often I'm thinking how much I'd love to convince her to!! I just don't think it's my place kwim. We have become friends over the years and she respects my opinion, I don't know what to do! I know I can't keep watching her like this tho. This child is miserable.- Flag

and now I understand
Before I started actually doing full on daycare I always wondered why some providers would complain when parents bring their kids to daycare when the parent themselves is off of work. NOW I GET IT!!! 1 DCM brings her child NO MATTER WHAT(even if she is sick)! She is off this week, they came home from out of town yesterday(late in the evening, mind you) and DCG is here and guess what SHE IS NAPPING! Its 944 in the flipping morning. A two ALMOST three year old shouldn't be taking a nap at 9 am! Ya know what will happen later? She will tired because she had an early nap and will go to bed early(possibly) then DCM wont actually have to do something. At first it was like ok she wants to run errands..I get that. But dont leave her here ALL DAY. Every other normal day DCG is here til 6pm sometimes even later and bed time is at 8 or 9. So thats dinner bath and DCG tv shows she must watch daily. Another DCM I have asked me the other day if it was okay if she brought DCG over just for a few hours on Friday so she can run to the store quick. Thats fine to me. A few hours to run a few errands or maybe one full day while you are off, but the whole week while your not doing anything? COME ON! DCG should of stayed home ASLEEP had breakfast at home and then come later. Hey i'm cool with that. My group is small enough now where a child coming in the afternoon doesnt throw me off. GAH.- Flag

$*^%! Dcg was having a melt down at the table, so I went to pull out her chair and remove her and I stubbed my foot on the china hutch- %*$@! (Thankfully, that was hidden under my scream and tears.) Pretty sure I broke at least 1 toe, if not 2. At least, it is on the same foot that already had a broken toe and just the one foot can be all deformed.Sorry for all the &(&% words, I don't have any medicine in the house to take for the pain
and I guess it's better to type it than say it with little ears around
. I sure hope it heals fast. The last toe took almost 2 months to feel ok to walk on without wincing with each step.

Not my fault your child isn't wearing pj's on pajama day. You have made it crystal clear that you view me as a "sitter" and don't appreciate all the "extras" I provide, BUT you do not have the right to be annoyed because my other clients do appreciate it and chose to participate fully in my program.- Flag

Guest repliedWhy, oh why, do I catch everything the kids have? Some of our preschoolers were hit by a stomach bug late last week and over the weekend, and guess what I spent all last night doing? At least I am sick now and not for Christmas.- Flag

I use that line on my kids all the time. Lol she gets so mad (DCG) because if I tell parents she was bad she gets in trouble at home too.- Flag

Newsflash: When I have attempted to get ahold of you 6 times since Friday to find out if your child will be attending on Monday (drop-in) do not be suprised when you call at 9pm on Sunday night and I am less than pleasant about you wanting to drop-off before I open.
Had you asked instead of told & informed me of this on Friday, or even Saturday, I probably would've said yes.- Flag

DCM had DCD's present shipped to my house so that she could pick it up when she got DCB as it's a large item so amazon only ships it in its original box and DCD doesn't work currently so he's home all day (I know i know...long story) which means he'd get it and obviously know what it was when UPS arrived.
She prearranged this and made sure delivery date was one of DCBs regular days (as I said I won't store it), its no biggy to me as I'm expecting a UPS package that day anyway and UPS always comes after nap time.
Then I get a email from DCM today letting me know it's on schedule for delivery and a request.......... "could you please wrap it?"Seriously? I wasn't even slightly cordial in my reply. I'm not her assistant and I'm certainly not her slave.

Dcm dropped off this am, didn't say anything, but heard other parents say they were coming at 330-ALL the others.
She comes strolling in at exactly closing time with a friend. Apparently, she had the day off. Which first off, I should know, so if I needed to get a hold of you
. I know it shouldn't bug me, but seriously, even 15 minutes early instead of on the dot.
I had dcb's ready to go already and was kinda pushing them out the door-Hey dcb have a great weekend, see you Monday ok! And she's all, what are you up to this weekend? Any plans? I just had a great day off, I would like another! I guess I'll have to drop dcbs off to grandmas so I can clean and do laundry tomorrow and maybe a bit of shopping.Ummm, ok, what the hell did you do all day???
I have no plans other than to wait for you on Monday-I have no life-bye!
Cheers!- Flag
