If it's your cell phone that she called there is an option to only accept calls from your "favorites" during certain hours. You can set up your favorites as your family members in case of emergency and all other calls go to voice mail.

More of a whine on this one but:

My big bookshelf broke. I tried but it's not repairable. 5 shelves, all full of books. Ugh....WHY???

If it's Saturday morning, it might not even get turned back on til sometime Sunday afternoon.

happyface. My SIL texted me for some info last Friday, stating clearly that she didn't need said info until the following week. Within a few hours of me not responding, she sent an email with the same request. I answered the next day in about 24 hours, which I think is a perfectly acceptable response time. Within that time, she had also called my MIL to get her to contact me to ask me the same info. I hate that an immediate response is expected these days. Even if I have the time to respond, sometimes I just want to think on things first.

Last I checked, maintaining a clean space for the kids in my care is part of daycare responsibilities. So don't you dare make passive aggressive comments at me, dcd, while I sweep up the grass YOUR child tracked in when he bolted past me onto the floor that my 4 month old dd plays on...it's not like I couldn't see or hear your child while he was throwing a screaming fit about you arriving for pickup...I figured you didn't want an audience to your poor parenting skills anyway.

Ugggggh...I HATE passive aggressive comments. I was still fuming about it so I needed to get that one out.

This week can kiss it. My ds has been home all week for fall break and it has been horrendous. Every single day, he woke the kids early from nap. So every single afternoon, I've had a house full of grumpy toddlers. BACK TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY.

Passive aggressive comments / actions are a coward's attempt at assertiveness, imho. Just say what you mean and mean what you say! I'm with ya on this.

I was going to post this on tues with my rant about mom texting before 6am. Dear DCD, I have been trying to reach you for 3 hours to have you come pick up your child, she has puked all over herself and all over me, and the bathroom. 3 times in an hour. I have to call people to pass the word that you need to come pickup.I would love to call mom but she lost custity. I'm tired of CPS being here,Checking to make sure you are taking care of your little one. I love your little one but I am SO done with everything. If I could I would adopt your little one, she deserves so much more!

I started Scholastic this month. Last month I discussed it with all of the parents and they were SOOOOOOO excited so I took the plunge and set it up. Another provider here was SOOOOOO excited about it too since she didn't want to do it on her own so her and her daycare kids are on the same order as my daycare kids.

I sent out the first flyer a week ago today. Everybody was excited and happyface about it.

It's due in 2 days. ONE parent has ordered. I'm kind of annoyed. This took some work to set up-not a lot of work mind you but it took time that could've been spent elsewhere. I handed out 12 flyers...and ONE order.

                            Really????

My parents thought it was great, too. No one ever orders. I still order stuff for my kids all the time, and every once in a while, I order one for DCK's, too. I just can't believe that no one else is so excited about the cheap books!

I know right? I'm excited. Though my bookshelf recently broke sooo I may need to lay off the book buying for a bit until I get a stronger one.
