It's funny how when I close I get some snarky looks but when I show up and expect 10 kids and only 4 show up that's OK in THEIR EYES.....Guess they will NEVER GET IT BUT I WILL CONTINUE TO CLOSE AS WELL- Flag

It's really odd. Infants here have to be moved to a crib or pnp if they fall asleep in a swing or chair if they're inside. Unless things have changed in the last year or two - and I don't think they have - they can stay in their stroller, baby swing or baby backpack if they fall asleep outside. We're not required to wake them or move them as long as they're safe where they are. I have a stroller that lies flat and it has an expandable hood that pulls forward to keep the sun off the baby. I have a couple of shade trees in the play area, too, so I could just wheel a baby to a shady area. With my current group, it would be well worth the inconvenience of bringing a portable crib in and out as I needed it. Inside days are the worst!- Flag

Hopefully she gets a clue this time. If not, I'd tell her nap time is non-negotiable at my daycare; every child has to rest. That might get her off your back once and for all...maybe?- Flag

I’m am done with people’s audacity today.
A woman reached out needing childcare for 12 hours a day. I told her my hours. She asked if I was flexible on my hours ♀️- Flag

Yeah, I have dodged this bullet for the past 4 years. Hopefully, this is the last time.- Flag

I'd be willing to bet you're right about that! You dodged that bullet!- Flag

She just messaged me that dcb does not nap because it messes with his sleep at night. She told me the same thing about her dd 4 years ago. She doesn't even want the child to rest. She is probably being asked to leave because he is disruptive to the group at nap time.- Flag

She messaged me again. Every summer this dcm messages me that she is not happy with current day care (good dc but don't align with her beliefs) She contacted me first when her dcb was a baby ( now 4) and then started making requests, so I told her I had nothing available.

I have always wanted to find a way to do this. We are required to only sleep in a crib or PNP, but because of the PNP regulations, I use a foldable crib.
How do you do that (nap babies outside)?
Keep them in the shade? Take out the crib?- Flag

I haven't had an infant for awhile now but I take them outside with the rest of the kids and let them nap out there. The group of kids I have now behave so much better when we get outside. I wouldn't be able to stay sane if I couldn't get them outside to play. Rainy days are miserable with this group!- Flag

Allergies are bad this year. My kids, especially my son, are really suffering right now. They've had to use their inhalers more frequently than usual for the past month. Ever since the pandemic, I've noticed that wearing a mask when I'm outside with the dc kids has really helped me with my allergies. I'm experiencing some slight symptoms like a runny nose and itchy eyes but I'm definitely not reacting as much as I could be. I haven't had to take any allergy meds yet and I'm usually taking them every day this time of year.- Flag
