Birth control is not highly effective for everyone. I have had four kids.

    pill
    patch
    depo
paraguard (copper) iud perfectly in place

I even had a miscarriage after my tubal ligation.

I am also supposed to have difficulty getting pregnant at all (PCOS).

Family is always saying how my DS needs a sibling. I balk at them, I am a single mom without help. That would be the smartest decision ever right!?!!!????!

It seems that moms who work actually do worse than moms who don't, but she's going to keep working. She works 6 days a week, including some doubles to take care of her kids. Her mom helps her pay for daycare-she's waiting and hoping that childcare assistance will help her out, but she's been turned down before, even though she is dead broke.

Maybe she plans on staying home after baby.. 3 is alot of kids to pay daycare for.... and didn't want to tell you too soon?

Just trying to find the logic...

DCM, by the way, just started to show about 2 weeks ago, but I wasn't going to bring it up, since I KNEW that I couldn't take the baby.

Me: ??? I close at 5:00, NO MATTER WHAT!!!! (not actual response, written more professional but I was thinking it.)

    The response: okay,thanks.

Why do they think that pickup is whenever they want not when my business is open.

Also, I had another interested person but she kept wanting to schedule her interview even when I said I wasn't available, even suggesting BEFORE I open. I said, not, so nicely this time, that, not only do I have to get ready for the day but that I have my own child to get ready also and that would be inappropriate. On nights that I said I was unavailable she kept pushing for ANYTIME in the evening. She is still bugging me and I haven't responded because it is definitely a red flag to me for this type of behavior and we haven't even met yet!!

I hate interviewing, it eats up so much of my personal time.
    Aw, that ****s!

I adopted a policy of telling potential client's "I have these times available for interviews. Which time works for you?"

I offer Mondays or Fridays only and have 4 different times available. If a parent can't make it any of those times, I am just not the right fit.

Of course you'll always get one that says a time/day that wasn't an option so you have to re-direct; "I'm sorry, I have only these times available interviews. Will any of them work for you?"

It's another way to take the reins right from tne beginning, helps keep me less stressed about trying to fit interviewing into my schedule and honestly just simplifies the whole process.

Working in a center has it's limitations due to political diplomacy.
Working in a home child care has it's limitations to pay need.
Either way, learning the new ways of how parents are parenting is a challenge.
Not sure how far I want to go to accommodate the parenting-style today... Completed an interview last week....I have a 3-step process.....ended with client giving me a check for first week of care.....text me and pulled out knowing she would lose the money.....told me her 4 yr old had told her she did not want to stay here No money is worth dealing with what some of these clients bring.... NOTHING surprises me anymore!

DCD worked away from home all weekend, and is now 20 minutes past usual drop-off time. I am thinking he is keeping DCBaby home like he usually does after a weekend away, but I have not officially been notified. I have had to use the bathroom for 30 minutes, and can no longer hold it. Sorry DCD, if you show up now you are going to be waiting on me, as I waited on you!
