Trapped at DW's office party. One of the doctors she works with just got done telling me how "intriguing" it is that they would allow something so "risky" as to allow a "strange man to watch other's children". You never have a hand grenade when you need one. Jeez.

That would make me angry! I had a parent tell me one time that he was well-pleased with MY services but he had nothing to say about my HELP.????? He didn't explain and I didn't ask but It ticked me off! I have had the same assistant ever since I opened well over 20 years ago. Clients never cease to amaze me

DCM telling me 4 month old baby fell asleep earlier than usual in a tone implying I could have done something differently.

She's an infant. They do what they do.

Thankfully the parents of the two other infants are super chill.

We'll get there but man it's been a week.

Our cat favored my dds' headphones at the time. He must've eaten half a dozen before it dawned on the girls to put them away. Lol

I've got 2 dogs, both around 4 yo. They used to be notorious for chewing anything. One of them is mostly choc. lab and about once a week I still catch her sneaking a stuffed animal out of the playroom to chew it's eyes out.

I do hope your pup gets better soon!!

I am not ashamed to admit that if I could find a way to make a living, I would have a "Kitty Farm". Not to breed and sell cats, but because I am a stray kitty saver. I have an especially big heart when it comes to orange male tabby cats, and if they are chubby it is even better! Thank goodness for pets and they joy they bring to our lives!

My profile picture is my newest... he's orange and slightly chubby but he's completely crazy!
His name is Hammie (from Baby Blues comic strip)

My other kitty is a gray tortoise shell and has a "backwards" tail. It points backwards over her body...reminds me of a handle. She taps herself on the top of her head with it. There is a name for her type/breed but I can't remember what it is.

All my kitties have been shelter adoptions.

I would partner with you in a heartbeat if it paid the bills!

If we had a barn, I would have more cats than I will openly admit. Might be why my DH has procrastinated on building that barn...never mind that we have 4 garages. ::

I think puppy is ok. I have kept her outside all day. I think maybe she ate some plants that she shouldn't have. We have a big fence around the vegetable garden...but she ate that last week She hasn't eaten much today, I am calling the vet if she's not back to her normal self by tomorrow. Poor thing didn't want her walk this morning, just wanted snuggles

I keep telling myself, one more yea and then she will be 2 and will not be so destructive. She is my baby and I spoil her a bit, which probably doesn't help Her goal is to eat through the vacuum chord while I am using it...I'm terrified she will electrocute herself or me!

I am so glad I am not the only one with naughty kitties! We have 7 outdoor barn cats that I am slightly obsessed with. Our oldest one has learned how to let herself, other 3 "big kitties", and the 3 baby kittens our of the walk in door of the barn whenever she feels like it. I looked out on the deck during lunch today and all 7 are lounging in the sun, while the babies are supposed to still be in the barn.

Aw, I hope pup is okay..

I have a dog (age 2) and two cats (age 4 and age 12 weeks old) and I couldn't imagine life without pets.

They are messy and cause their fair share of chaos around the house (both in and out) but I couldn't imagine life without them.

Last night I am sitting on my sofa, scrolling away on my i-Pad. I kept getting a pop up saying my battery is low. I had it plugged in so I wasn't sure why that message kept popping up. After clearing it for the 4th time, I look down and see why; the cord is just hanging there. The OTHER end is still plugged in but since "Captain Chaos" a.k.a the baby kitty (neither are his real name) chewed the cord... in half.

Wouldnt be so bad if it weren't the second one this week. I guess I will learn sooner or later. ::

Daycare is downstairs. DS (4) gets to go upstairs and play his leap pad upstairs and then I join him once dcks are asleep. Then we read, cuddle etc.

I get upstairs today - and there is dog...sick (not sure which end) EVERYWHERE. My puppy (not quite a year) is laying sadly by the back door. My son is standing on the living room carpet literally surrounded by mess. It smells terrible. I asked him if he noticed anything - my 2, 4 and 6 yo all know how to let the dog in and out if she paws at the back door. He admits it smelled "nasty" but didnt look up from his game to check He is only 4, and the dog not 100% his responsibility...but seriously dude?! So gross. I vomited while cleaning up the biggest pile...so gross. And I am no light weight. I eat lunch between the nastiest booty changes .

haha "No" is a fabulous word! I was so sad when our previous dog died...I should have waited another few months before getting a puppy! I love her. I love dog. BUT I really didn't need another creature to keep alive around here
