    Pest Control & Cleaning Service

I am calling Pest control for my Ants problem all over the daycare room and kitchen and calling monthly cleaning service, since I do not have time to clean the house . Can I claim it ?

I would think it is part of maintaining the quality and safety of your business. Maybe Tom Copeland will catch this thread and answer.

Can't speak to the cleaning service, as I am my home's cleaning service ::. However, I do have a pest contract on my home, b/c of the daycare. I take it off my taxes.

Yes, you can. Claim your time/space percentage because it does pertain to the upkeep/maintenance of your home as well. If the cleaning is strictly for the daycare areas, you can claim it all I believe.

Yep definetely can just like Crystal said. I wanted to add that borax is an awesome ant colony killer. Sprinkle it around your trash can and home and they take it back to the colony and can eventually take it to the queen. No queen, no colony. They die when they eat it. Cinnamon also keeps them away although it doesn't kill them. I sprinkle it along my entryways to keep ants out of my home during the summer months. The best thing about it is that it's non-toxic to plants, animals and people. Small amounts of borax are also not harmful to your garden, animals and people. Just be sure to sprinkle, not pour.

ROFL, It's a thought. I really did try to find a kid to do it this summer, but couldn't find one. I can't afford one of those fancy services.

Ive had the same ant problem every few months since we bought our house. Our whole neighborhood has it apparently. We had someone come spray again 2 weeks and I haven't seen a single one, and I'm going to claim it.

I'm going out to buy borax today - that's in the laundry cleaning section isn't it? Can I get it at Walmart?

I'm having such a time with those little ants too - and I've been afraid to use the baits because of my cat. She finds and gets into everything!
