    Pipe Burst in Daycare

Our daycare had a pipe burst which resulted in the daycare being closed for three days. Is this something you would ask to be reimbursed for? (3 day closure). Nothing on this in the handbook.

Have they not sent out info on how they intend to handle it? They just left it hanging unspoken and said nothing?

They sent emails with updates but nothing regarding the three lost days. They did however write that they will be open on Presidents’ Day for the inconvenience. Doesn’t do much for us as we already have plans for the day off. Is it wrong for us to inquire about reimbursement?

No, It isn't wrong but it sounds like they view working on the federal holiday as crediting your account already.

Instead of asking for a discount, I'd probably ask for clarification of their emergency closing policy and go from there.
