    Free the Parents

if I where a law maker I would fight to free the Parents. It came to me that a child should be with the Parents up to Kinder. When 1st grade begins for the child the parent may go back to Work. There should be a loan or a grant given to the parents that choose to use the route. I strongly feel the law should make both parents have to be with the child the entire 4th year of the child. If the parents choose not to do the entire 5 years by law they would have to do the 4th year.
Or at least split shifts for the parents at work due to a child must be an entire year daily with the parents it being the 4th year.
I feel this will create for the family a stronger foundation for the future of a family.

It is healthy for Parents to be with the child minimum of one year and it being the 4th year.

just thoughts from hope that we don't continue to allow money to keep things from us like our own kids childhoods.

There is nothing more wonderful then to be able to daily see your child grow , especially with no stressfull distractions from work which interfere with a childs growing experience and may be a big part of the reason some children begin to fall back, this solution will also decrease the chances of the child to have criminal mentalities. (if i mispell pardon)

While I agree with you that it is always best for children to be at home with their parents when they are young, it is not always feasable. Also, daycare can be a wonderful social learning experience for children and prepare them for public school. I also believe that with all the problems this country has with people having multiple children just to live off of government assistance, a program like this would only intensify the problem. This is not to say that everyone who took advantage of the program you are suggesting would abuse it, but the sad fact is that MANY would. What would happen if a woman decided she wanted to pop out a kid every 3 to 4 years just to avoid working for a living?

Subsidized childcare is much more effective... some states have programs (though not widely advertised) that help working mothers pay for childcare when their income is not sufficient.

I take it you're willing and ready to give up at least 25% of your personal income (maybe more) to subsidize someone who wants to have litter after litter of offspring just so they don't have to work? Cuz that's what it's going to become.

Here's a better idea-let people raise their own damn kids, and keep the gov't out of it. Gov't has no clue how to raise kids, look at what their way of doing this is doing to our society.

If a person feels that their children will be better raised by them 24/7 rather than going to DC, here's an idea-wait until they can afford for one parent to take that time off from their career, or better yet, find a way to make an income where the one parent is always at home (stay at home mom, do daycare, farm, etc) rather than looking to me, him and her to foot the bill for someone else's dream of producing a "little me" in hopes that the kid doesn't turn out like them.

Screw this idea, it's part of the big problem facing society today-lack of personal accountability. People want everything handed to them, at the expense of others.

How about we teach our kids at a young age life is what they make it, not what the gov't gives them?

There is no law saying you're not allowed to spend as much time with your child as you please. Don't start shoving more laws down people's throats just because you want to hang with your kid all day long and have someone else pay the tab.
Spouse of a daycare provider....which I guess makes me one too!

Well said, I couldn't agree more. We need less government, not more!

Agree. The way I see things the Gov. is already paying for parents to stay home & have yet more children that they already can not afford or care for.

we split shifts for the blessing of our daily time with our son this year

we have one child. as a spiritual person it comes to me it is God that decides when a person is born not people. evil will let people feel they have the power to give life. through people life is also taken away. The People are the true gov. but have been lied to and beleive they have no power to see that. we don't plan on having another child and for sure if we did it would not be for a tax break. we do not decide if we have another child, it is the will of God. even though my spouse is on birth control, chemicals can't stop the will of God. we do show faith by using the chemicals and with the action in faith deny new life thru us. if people don't see that the gov are humans also, then they will never see that everyone is the gov. as well as the church. So on t$e other hand yup lets continue with what they say and teach the kids to become /wealthy so their great great great grandchild or children may have the Glory to be by the child's side daily and not a mere year a child request. People spend more time with co workers than their own family unless you count sleeping in the same planet quality time.

we are bless to be in success thanks to the ones that aren't.

For the ones i read about yall having babies for a crappy whatever itis yall get , please stop. If it wasn't for you this thread would be full of 2 thumbs up.

So you lack faith in God, and thwart his will with chemicals?

Sounds like a personal problem-I spend more quality time with my kids than I do co-workers and am still able to earn the income necessary to care for my children, rather than trying to mandate a law that says I can sit on my butt collecting money that is TAKEN by FORCE from other people AGAINST THEIR WILL.

                          That is what taxes are.

Yup, this thread would be full of two thumbs up....your two thumbs. Notice that nobody has agreed with your socialistic mandates but you.

Sorry, but most prefer to stand on their own two legs and take care of their own, rather than crank out a kid and say "Now everyone must bend to my will, I am a parent".

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume that English is not your first language.

Either that, or you should go to first grade along with your child and learn to write in complete sentences, use punctuation properly, along with capitalization.
