First Child Coming Soon...Home Daycare Question

I'm out on the hunt for a part time in-home daycare provider here in Arlington, Virginia and was wondering if there are resources out there to look up info on individuals.

Is there an Angie's List type site for daycare? I'd like to get some info on the individual but I'm at a loss where to begin.

Thank you all for any help you might have. I tried doing a search on the forums but couldn't find any subjects that answered my questions really. Maybe I'm just bad at forum searches!

I am in MN but we can contact our county and they can give us lists of providers that are licensed in your area. If we are licensed then we have back round checks done on us. Then if you meet a provider that might fit you can ask for references and then you can talk to people that have been in her care and ask them questions.. I hope this helped some good luck.
