I haven't talked yet to my dcm that is pregnant about rates because I just found out that she's pregnant. What does everyone do about siblings? I charge $35 a day for their son (almost 2) and now they're expecting. The dcb is here from 7:30 - 5:15 3 days a week. I really don't want to discount because they are here almost 10 hours a day and that seems like alot.

Siblings do not receive discounted care, therefore do not receive discounted rates.
Plus taking on siblings has it's own set of disadvantages such as having two spots to fill should they leave your care.
I explain to parents that I fully understand they they have multiple children but I have a set number of spaces and if I were to discount each space just because a sibling wants it, I would make a policy of not taking siblings at all then.
I have 10 spaces total. Each space costs the same.- Flag

I'm hoping that they just don't ask. I don't have a contract per se, but I do have an info sheet that details my rates, vacation, holiday pay, hours etc that they sign. I guess that would constitute a contract except that I don't have anything that says that either one of us can't break our agreement. Anyhoo, on that it does say that the rate is $35.00 per day/per child and they did sign that, so I'm hoping they will remember that.- Flag

I don't think that would work unfortunately because I had her son as an infant so she knows I charge $35.- Flag
