    Not Looking Forward To Working Today

    Oh it's been a long week and I'm definately not looking forward to today. I have one dcg that comes and she is just a handful. She came on Tuesday and was soooo crabby. Her mom said she had gotten up at 6:15 and was at my house at 7:50. Figured out that she was hungry, so I gave her breakfast, but she was still a mess. Asked dad when he picked up if she had eaten breakfast and he said oh no, she'll do that with you. Oh okay, no wonder she was crabby. She got up at 6:15 and didn't eat breakfast until after 8:00? Really is it that hard to give your child something to eat? I don't mind at all giving the kids breakfast, but when they're little, they shouldnt' have to wait that long. These are the same people that continue to try to just walk into my home without knocking. Every morning I see the handle turn on the door. I know that some people don't mind if people just walk in, but the way my house is set up, I prefer they knock. I locked my doors even before I started daycare. They treat me like I'm the labor, with no respect.

    speak up. If you want them to knock and wait tell them that. How do they know what you want if you do not tell them

    tell them what time you serve breakfast and suggest a small snack like a glass of milk before they come.

    YOU need to tell them what you need it is a partnership and they can not read minds.

    backbone and speak up
    It:: will wait

      Keep your doors locked even after you start. That's for both your and the kids's safety but also to avoid people from just waltzing in like they own your home.

      Re-do your contract. Include your meal times. If child gets there after a meal time, require parents feed BEFORE they drop off.

      Adhere to any drop off and pick up times and if they start to waiver, stop them
