Are home daycare providers required to disclosure borders living with them? If this information was not disclosure, how should a concerned parent handle this.

If you have some concerns I would advise you to call licensing and let them know.
Have you spoken to your provider about this at all?- Flag

I personally think a home DCP should disclose everyone living in the home if there is any chance at all that they will be there at the same time as the children. Since everyone gets sick from time to time that would be everyone in the home.- Flag

Absolutely.
Here everyone over the age of 18, even people who just visit regularly during the day, must have an annual fingerprint criminal records check done. It must be available for parents and the licensor to see at request.
If I were the parent of a child with a provider who did not notify me of another adult living in the home, I would demand a criminal records check. Obviously if it was a child coming home from college to live temporarily or a family member getting back on their feet, I'd be empathetic. I would never turn away family in need either.
If they did not comply within a reasonable amount of time I would terminate the contract, immediately. Do you have reason to suspect this person is somehow dangerous? If so, don't wait, just find a new provider. Trust is important, you should have been notified, your provider should have been trained on this subject.- Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.- Flag

Yes, licensing should know everyone who lives in the home. I had my cousin (who was 19yo at the time) living with us for about a year, everyone knew her...she had bk check & cpr/first aid...she was in community college and around the kids a bunch
My MIL lived with us for 3 weeks while she finished up the last bit of work before she could take her retirement benefits...but their house had already sold, and FIL went to a different state to supervise the construction of the new place. Bk check was not needed (i think my licensing person just didn't want to bother for someone short term). I notified my dcparents and no one had an issue with that.- Flag

I have to have everyone over the age of 18 fingerprinted even my son who will still have 1 1/2 years of highschool left after his 18th birthday. I do not know if I am required to inform parents of a person living in the house, However, I personally whould after everything was "settled" and the fingerprints where approve ect. I would most likely say something like oh by the way we have rented out our spare room so so and so will be mving in he/she has been finger printed per licensening regualtions.
If as a parent you are concerned that this person should not be around or living in a house with children then call lic. they will envestigate or they might telll you they are already know that said personal lives there.- Flag
