Hi I'm Heather and I started Bear Cub Daycare in Independence, OR. I have 16 years of experience working with children, my own and others in child care related career paths. My husband knows I'm good with children and has supported me in the idea of starting a home based daycare.
My husband has done a lot of work putting together a website, writing the contracts (or altering those freely shared by other providers), getting my daycare's name out there. He had BearCubDaycare put on Yelp, Bing, Google, Facebook, Superpages, YellowPages, Childcarecenter, Craigslist, and others, we printed some fancy flyers with a QR code so people could tear a tab or scan and add my daycare as a contact. He also has found a compilation of free software to run the basic functions of the daycare business. Here is what he found I hope it helps some of you out.
