Opening a new child care facility

    Hello all!

I'm opening my own child care facility sometime soon and I'm not sure exactly where to start.

I will be leasing a place (haven't found a place yet).
It'll be a holistic daycare and I will be providing all of the organic meals and snacks.
I'm hiring one additional staff person and will be providing care to 6 infants, and 6 school-age, which is by law what I am able to have with one extra person.

I will be going to a bank for a loan, to cover start-up costs and to finance my lease for the first couple months.

I had a couple questions regarding my start up that I thought I should ask here, if you have any ideas/answers feel free to comment

-What is my first step? (Find a building then get a loan, or go to a bank and see what I'm approved for then get a building)
-What items do you recommend that are a total necessity?
-What would you charge for full-time care for an infant/school age child in a holistic environment. (everyone in the area is becoming more and more aware of the organic trend and becoming very interested in any and everything holistic/organic/green which is why I chose this location and to go the route that I'm taking my daycare in.
-In your experience is 6 infants too much for one child care provider to handle?
