I am just getting started with the planning aspect for my home child care center, and want to begin working on a web site. Of course I want a FREE site do you folks have any suggestions/recommendations?
Ok, I've decided to go with a website, but as I've said in other posts, I really don't know what to do.
Please post what you've found to be the best way to do it.
What do you find important to put in your website, what do you feel is best left out? Do you have a section for daily updates on what the kids are doing?
Do you
I use weebly. They have a free version. I pay for my weebly and I manage 6 of my own sites from there, one for the local public school, and six others for laying customers. I love weebly.
I also use webs.com. I love the web design program and how easy it is to format it to the way you want. I did try weebly out too and one with flash but I ended up staying with my webs.com one instead. Here's how mine looks.

My website is just like my baby ... it keeps growing and growing and growing ::. I'm always adding and removing or changing something. Feel free to steal something that you like or let me know if you need help. With webs it's super easy ... just pick a format that you like and then just type up all of your info. I've helped several providers in my area learn to use the design tools (they were self proclaimed computer illiterate) and helped them out via email so just say the word .

Ooh Ooh!! The word! The word!!! ::
Seriously though, I have a question... How do you do the FAQ page with the links that bring you down to the specific question? I can't figure that out. I know how to add a link but I've got no clue how to do the FAQ page.
And I know I've said this before, but I love, love, love your site! And if it's ok I'd like to ste...err borrow some of your ideas.
Oh and another question... What paid package do you have to have all those extra pages? You have SO much information on there, not just about your DC but for your families and other parents as well. It's great! lovethis
Ooh... I like yours, too! I like that you also have fun info for the parents and the songs and videos are a nice touch.
Thanks. The kids love to watch the videos and the songs and one reason they are on there is because the parents will let the kids watch them at home and if they are missing me etc or sick they feel like they are here with us. At least that's what parents say
