You can add avatar by going into your personal profile or user CP (found in the upper left corner on the blue bar) and choosing the edit avatar option.
There are several pre-loaded avatars to choose from or you can add your own picture or clip art.
The one you have now is one I had on my PC and is not part of the pre-loaded ones offered by the forum. I try to mix it up now and then so we don't have a bunch of members with the same avatar.
I am a visual person so I tend to look at the photo/avatar rather than the name of the poster.
You are free to change your avatar at anytime. If you need assistance just give a shout out or PM me and I will gladly help.
