Hello friends. I have been reading posts from Daycare.com for a few years now, and I've finally made the decision to join in. I get wonderful advice from you. Here's my dilemma. I have closed down my home DC and have accepted a position as a substitute Assistant Teacher in a preschool parent co-op, and is now regretting it. It's only been 2 months. I want to re-open.
When I first told family & friends of my decision to close, they told me that I was going backwards. I guess I needed a break and thought closing was the best thing to do, but now I see that I was better off still having my DC. For one, the place I work at is so unprofessional. I don't understand how they even became accredited because they don't do half the things required from the state. Childcare is a passion for me, and I guess I'll always be critical about someone not treating the children right. Have anyone ever did what I did? Then re-opened? If so, what are your experiences?
