Hello everyone,
I have been working for my daycare for a month now. I have 7 toddlers in my room. My youngest is 16 months, 2 that will be 2 in sept. and nov. and 4 that are 2. My frustration is I want to start some type of routine day with them but Im not sure how. Are there lesson plans or programs suited for 2 yr. olds that will be better for our day then just total chaos. They do know their colors and love to sing songs, we also started on nursery rhymes last week. Also getting them to transition is very difficult, how do you get a room of 2s to clean up for a new activity when they dont want to? Is circle time an option? I also have a biter which I feel if we had a routine it wouldn't be an issue because there wouldnt be so much free time.
In the afternoons we join the 3 and 4 yr. olds in one room for an hour which is a nightmare. I need ideas for this time also. I love this job I just feel inadequate and like Im just yelling at them to not do this or not do that. I need a plan PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
