    Q for TX providers

Hello! I'm a preschool teacher who has always dreamed of opening her own school. I'm afraid to take the plunge though, especially since its not a good time for my family financially.

I think a good way to start out would be through a parents night out (pno) a couple of Fridays a month, just to get my name out there. I may even offer overnight care until Saturday morning. I'm having a hard time finding info on the dfps website about pno. I wrote an email to them asking if a license would be necessary and I've yet to receive a response. Is there anyone out there who can help

    Welcome to the forum!

Your status has been upgraded so you can post without moderation.

We have several providers from TX so I am sure one of them can answer your question.

I found out the answer to my own question in case any one else wants to know. You only need a license if you offer care at least three days a week. I still on following the minimum standards, but I'm good to go without a license. Hopefully i can start soon
