I'm in the process of opening a daycare and am faced with painting the new walls of the facility. To get the most life out of the walls after sticky hands touch it on a daily basis, I'm hoping some veterans can provide me with advice on the best way to proceed. I'm assuming paint is the best route - but could be wrong. If so - what type of paint is best for regular cleaning? What colors or textures hide dirt best? I've heard that it's best to paint walls two colors - the bottom half one color and the top another - that way you only need to repaint the bottom half over time as the top won't get dirty. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Best Paint For Walls?

Welcome to the Daycare.com Forum! I've upgraded your status. You can post freely now.
I would recommend an oil based or Acrylic/latex house paint.

IMHO, The washable playroom paint is best.
I prefer lighter shades because they show the dirt... It makes it easier for me to spot any possible contaminated surfaces.
Sadly, not everything they wipe on walls is dirt....- Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.- Flag
