The main equipment I'm missing a good stand mixer (and oh, how I covet a nice Kitchenaid... I want one SOOOO badly).
I am gluten intolerant. Finding a great gluten free bread is tough. I've found the best is made by UDI's. Their bagels are great. Also, "123 Gluten Free" makes great mixes for your bread machine.

Mixes are...eh...so-so. Like with many things, homemade tastes MUCH better.

Yes, Udi's is by FAR the best commercial GF bread! And I do love their bagels (mmm...could go for a ham and cheese on a bagel right about now!). I was really happy when my regular grocery store started carrying Udis. I've never seen/heard of 123 gluten free. I'll have to look around.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

don't even get me started on the multiple topics this brought up.

I guess now, anyone I pay works exclusively for me. They no longer have any rights or thoughts of their own nor are they allowed to make decisions for their own children unless it specifically agrees with mine. I'll be gone for a bit while I call my paper boy, sandwich delivery guy, hair stylist....gotta grab my address book.....gotta call my daughter's future preschool teacher.....maybe I should call my pastor since I do give an offering on Sundays....oh wait, and my subdivision association since I pay dues, to heck with any other homeowner in my neighborhood because I am the most important.....

Nope, no PHD here. I have a Bachelor's though! And plan to someday to get my Master's. So there. ::sticks out tongue:: I'm Wolowitz I guess (Big Bang Theory reference for those not "in the know") and the OP is...Sheldon?

And what exactly should they not listen to me about, again?

OMG, this thread cracks me up! Went from a PhD flamming hippe daycare providers to a very civil conversation about yogurt and bread....:::: I love these forums!!
BTW, Yay for the hippie daycare and down with "the Man"....(that would be you Mr or Mrs. PhD)....I know I missed the train here, but just saw the thread, so had to give my two cents

Is the homemade yogurt the one made in the crock pot? I would like the recipe for it please.

I think you make yogurt using yogurt. It's like a live-culture thing- it...grows itself... look it up, I don't wanna think about it, just wanna eat it.
And the Greek yogurt is the most amazing thing ever.
