Had My First Unannounced Licensing Visit!

And I'm technically closed for business until further notice! ::

Another local provider and I were just chatting yesterday about how slow things were and how we hadn't seen or heard from our licensor for over a year. And BAM! Just as I'm sitting down to a quiet lunch while my own 2yo ate in front of the tv she's ringing my doorbell, like 15x.

Easiest license visit ever. Told her I was taking a break since there were no kids after months of advertising. No kids = no inspection. Said she'd check in in a year to see if I started back up. 5 min visit and she was gone. And of course I was right on the phone warning my friend she was in town.

I wish! I would love inspections once a year! We have "visits" where they stop by to check things out once a month. Then our regular inspections are 4 times a year. Then twice a year we have major inspections where a team of about 5 people turns our house inside out. We really have to stay on our toes!

And they are fast! usually just 1 person, she checks our paperwork, checks for safety, counts kids, and leaves
