CONGRATULATIONS!!!! What wonderful news!! Is this your first?

I am sorry I can offer no advice bout doing care and being pregnant since my own children are grown and I didn't start daycare until after they were born.

        Congratulations!!! How exciting for you!
I wouldn't worry about morning sickness-you may not even experience that!
If you do I wouldn't call in for it-it shouldn't last long. Just eat smaller portions more often-"grazing" throughout the day versus eating big meals. You'll also most likely be able to find some trigger foods that you'll want to avoid and others that help your stomach.
You can also talk to your dr. if you do get morning sickness and it's bad-there are safe and natural things you can take to help combat it.
There were some of my pregnancies where I felt better than I had ever felt non-pregnant!

Congratulations!! You may get lucky and be one of the few who experiance little to no morning sickness. I have never been one of those and even though I don't have experiance watching others children while having non stop morning sickness I had two of my own to watch during my last pregnancy. Saltine crackers or any cracker that sits well with you will be your friend. You may need to take the sit back and watch approach to care for the first few months until you feel better. Just keep the kids busy with fun safe activities that they can continue with if you have to leave the room quickly. This will be a live and learn experiance. Again congrats, and hope you luck out and miss the morning sickness completely.

My pregnancy with my daughter was just awesome, had morning sickness for the weekend and everything went smoothly. I've heard it can be totally different with your second one

              So happy for you!

First off......try not to stress out and just enjoy the fact you are expecting!

Morning sickness comes in many guises. Some feel none at all....some feel ill all day for weeks.......and anything in between.

Just take it day by day and keep in close contact with your doctor. I had 4 children and I have no idea what morning sickness feels like. My sister-in-law suffered greatly with her morning sickness.

Diet and routine can help a lot I have heard. Eating crackers before you even get out of bed to settle your stomach......small meals about 6 times a day instead of three larger ones.....etc..

Let your day care parents know you are expecting and if you get morning sickness, they will hopefully understand there may be days when you feel under the weather. It DOES pass!

Any possibility of getting a helper for mornings if you find it hard? It would only be a temporary thing.

Anyway...don't get too worried. This isn't something you can plan for as it's so random. You just have to deal with it as and IF it happens.

Whoop hooooo!!! So happy for you!!!!
Just keep the path to the bathroom clear and enlist your older kids to help while you get sick. I told them there was a baby in my tummy and it didn't like what I ate. That's why I was sick. They were mad at the baby alot. Lol for making me sick but it passes. Congrats again!!!!

First of all --- Congratulations!!! That is great news!

I'm expecting my third baby and I had morning sickness something awful this time around. I didn't have it too bad with either of my other two, so I was really thrown for a loop. I tried eating more often, before I got out of bed, etc, etc. Eventually I ended up taking Zofran to be able to function somewhat normally.

I was sick pretty much all day long from about 7 weeks to about 14 weeks. Constant nausea plus vomiting typically at least once or more per day.

Diapers were hard. Food prep was not my favorite, but wasn't awful. I gagged and threw up a lot during diaper changes.

My house got progressively less clean as the weeks went on. Once I started feeling better, I deep cleaned. I did the bare minimum while I was sick. I sat on my couch and read A LOT.

I didn't tell any of my parents until I was 15 weeks along. I miscarried in last fall and didn't want to have to go through that with my daycare parents, so I waited. I also waited until I had a general sense of what my "maternity leave" would look like.

Now that I've typed all that out I feel like I've given you too much information --- because really --- who knows if you will experience any of that? I guess my point is that life goes on. Your daycare might suffer, but its recoverable.

                      Congratulations, again!

                        Congratulations!!!

I was really sick with my first and thankfully not doing daycare at the time. I couldn't have done it--I threw up every day, usually multiple times, until I was 7 months along. No one (not even my frickking OB) ever mentioned that I oculd get medicine (Zofran) for it...

With my second I threw up a few times a week until I was 20 weeksish (I honestly don't remember) but I was horribly exhausted. I just took it a day at a time and used the opportunity to train my kiddos really well to my voice. Now I have a very well-trained group that respond quickly when I call to them. It helps that I have a small group.

                        Good luck!
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

Congrats! I am pregnant now (due next month) and I never got back morning sickness with either pregnancies. So I guess I lucked out. But I agree with the others, keep a trash can nearby and/or the path to the bathroom cleared!
