My Crayon Project For The Day

Today, I had planned for the kids to help me make jumbo crayons out of all of the little pieces. Usually during coloring time they ALWAYS peel paper more than they actually color. Of course, after being told it's okay to peel the papers, no one does it.

My project backfired!

I stripped all the crayons of their paper a long time ago! The kids had a blast stripping them all with permission and don't even realize that they don't get to do it any more.

I've done that too! It went very well, except one technique that I tried didn't work out. Putting crayons in metal cookie cutters. Somewhere I read to try it but as I suspected, as soon as the crayons melted they seeped under the cookie cutter! :: Oh well. The muffin pan worked just fine of course! Sorry the kids didn't like peeling the paper off! Live and learn right?!
