Nan, could you post a simple version of your daily schedule? I'm trying to figure out some solutions to mine. I'm having some transition issues and I think it's causing some grouchiness with a few. I'm looking to see what you do that I don't and maybe can adapt for us?
Nanny??

Well, I'm no Nanny, but here's one that works for me if it helps at all...

When school started my hours changed so I'm just redoing my own thing here too.
right now>
7:30- 8:15 open last kid in the door at 8:45
Babies have already had first bottle and kids have had first breakfast at home so the little ones go for a morning nap and the bigger ones have second breakfast. Anyone who is tired lays down.
8:15 second breakfast
8:45 Staff assistant arrives.... everyone laying down gets up. Baby bottle time.
8:45 to 9:30 everyone potties, free plays, gets ready to go outside
9:30 to 10:30-10:45 load everyone up to outside and then outside for walk
10:45-11:00 clean up after walk and put shoes/jackets up
11:00 lunch
11:20-12:15 the older ones do their activities the little ones free play
12:15-2:45 sleep
2:45 - 3:15 up potty... get ones that leave early to leave... baby has feeding
3:15-5:45 FREE play. Oldest pack leader gets about 45 mins one to one time.
During the free play my SA does housekeeping... toy cleaning... paperwork... whatever needs to bed done.
During the summer the walk takes less time to make happen so the kids free play until it's time to go out. In the dead of winter it takes an extra half hour to full winter gear them. They usually watch TV while everyone is getting dressed.
So that's my ten hour schedule. If I get a kid in with an earlier schedule that may change... but that's our schedule we are doing now.
Three days a week we are now done by 5:15- Flag
