2nd Shift Day care needs clients

I opened a second shift day care because I work in a 24hr facility and had a hard time with traditional hours. Within a 1-5 mile radius there are 7-10 other 24 hr facilities. So I started a daycare (in this same area) in Chicago and I am having the hardest time reaching employees who work these hours. I thought fliers on cars would circulate word of mouth but private lots eliminated that idea. I have people who work inside of these places putting out fliers but I think there all still on the back seat of their cars. People are calling and visiting the location. Have gotten rave reviews about the set up. Have even lowered the prices with monthly specials. Parents request the application, love the concept so where are the children & what am I not doing that I should be....besides changing the hours, this is my last resort. Trying hard to stay true to my dream but my dream is not paying the bills

Try calling the HR departments of the companies that you are targeting and ask them if they have any type of internal referral service for child care. There are a couple of large companies in my area that do this, but you have to either be put on their referral list by a current company employee or ask to be put on it yourself.

Are you listed with the local CCR&R? Many companies that have an employee referral for childcare, it is a service that uses the CCR&R's database.
