    Steam Cleaners

So, I've used steam mops for a while. LOVE! But, when my last one quit on me, I purchased a Shark Lift Away steam mop/handheld cleaner in one (easy pay on QVC - woo-hoo!) And I am in LOVE! It cleans so well and disinfects without all the nasty chemicals that I, personally, believe are not good for the little ones. It got crayon off my walls that even the magic eraser couldn't handle!!! It will also steam carpets! I HIGHLY reccommend!!!!Plus, I can deduct it on my taxes!!!

    is it this one.... http://www.amazon.com/Shark-Lift-Awa...5086085&sr=8-3

I bought the Eureka EnviroSteamer because it got such great reviews but I don't love it. It cleans ok but I hate the pads and the cord isn't very long, etc.

That's the one! Super long cord. Doesn't have to be refilled as often as others I've used and the pads for the mop are double sided. You can literally flip the mop head over, mid-clean and use the other side!

What? How is it possible to deduct it from your taxes? That's seriously amazing! Only thing I know is it's possible to do that if you've purchased it for an institution or something.

How I usually take care of my carpet I just have Portland carpet cleaners do it; it saves time, energy and I still think it's effective.

I can deduct a percentage of it!! Or if it is over$100, you can claim depreciation! Omg!! I hope you are deducting a percentage of everything you buy for your home that is also used for your business!!! I rent a rug Dr twice a year (and deduct the cost!) But the steamer refreshes the carpets and can kill germs and dust mites! Yay!!

I bought a shark steam pocket mop from a year ago after we placed a new hard wood floors. I absolutely love it. It was worth to spend $110 on it. I still use it everyday to keep clean. I don't have to worry about buying chemical things, ha! I deducted it from my 2010 taxes.

I think that's the most amazing thing ever!! I will definitely start doing that, I'll take your advice at heart, because I'm spending a fortune on just appliances alone.
These days, even second-hand items aren't so reliable anymore, because once they fail, you'll end up paying more than what you would have if you had just stuck with the original price of a new appliance.. like the vacuum.

do you have an accountant do your taxes? You really should read more on the tax forum if you are doing them yourselves. Soooo many household items can be deducted using your time/space percentage when they are partially used for daycare!

Tom Copeland is the home daycare tax guru!! Lol! I recently attended one of his trainings and it was SO informative! He has a great blog. He helped develop the Minute Menu record keeping software. I use it and it has really helped me a LOT!!! Even if you do use an accountant, they aren't all real knowledgeable about home daycare stuff.
