Labor Day Weekend

So what are you doing this long weekend?


We are going Camping for the first time since May! It has been triple digits all summer and we wouldn't go.

We are going away to a family retreat!! I have a good book already to go and can't wait to sit in the shade reading while my love fishes

I wish we were able to go somewhere with the long weekend but with my husband's work schedule and us both in school full time that doesn't allow for it right now. I am hoping we get a chance to take our boys to myrtle beach one of the days for the day to go to Ripley's Aquarium, believe it or not, motion theater and I think there is one other thing they can do too. I got an email from my teacher work email saying teachers could go with three others family members, friends whoever for free to all of them this weekend so that is just something we are going to have to try to take advantage of. It's rare we have both the boys together and where we can take the time to go do something like that so that's our big labor day weekend event...that and homework

We are heading to Calistoga to visit family. Were also going to San Francisco on Saturday and of course a trip to IKEA. Yay, so excited, mostly about the trip to ikea, I have my shopping list all ready.

I actually took it off!! I feel bad because DCM claims to not have anyone else (yet I have seen 4 dif people pick up these kids) I already pull some Saturdays for her, at least every other Saturday and technically I am closed on Sat & Sun. So anyway I took it off but with some guilt. I'm sure I will feel better when we get into some family activies around the area this weekend.

As for those of u who are open on Labor Day HUGS and great job! I know it stinks as I rarely take holidays off.

football, football and some more football - having 3 kids in Pop Warner that is what my life consists of on the weekends from August thru October, LOL!

Aside from that I'd like to get my newsletter for Sept. done and gotta get my kids ready for school next week - they go back Wednesday!

We are going to stay on our friend's yacht and cruise around the Delta with our family & friends. I'm so looking forward to spending the weekend with my 3 grown kids!

I cannot wait to relax and have 3 days of doing absolutely nothing, but eat, drink and soak up some rays!

I'm helping my mom and sister move in Saturday and Sunday... it's exciting and sort of deppressing at the same time. I love my mom and sis and we could use the extra rent income but the circumstances aren't good. My mom and dad have officially called it quits so my mom and younger sis are moving in with us. My dad doesn't know yet since he's been on a long holiday out of the country (going on 2 months now) and no one knows when he's coming back. So, once he gets back (to a vacant house) I have the joy of filling him in .

On Monday I'm tagging along with DH and BIL to track day (motorcycle's) and I'm taking my 2 kiddies. DH just spent a week converting the power wheel into a remote control car (for 9 month old DS ) and I'm taking it with us to try it out and making all of the other parent's jelous (we have all of the "cool" toys ).

So EVERYONE have a fun, HAPPY, safe weekend and may your weekend be full of sunshine and relaxation!

Awww...I remember those days!!!! Great times watching my boys play football and my daughter cheer! It is so busy with non stop practices and games, but lots of fun memories! Now they are all in their 20's and my life is so much quieter. Enjoy it, because it goes by all too quick!!

Where is your cabin at? (if you don't mind sharing.)

Webb Lake Wisconsin! It's about an hour away from Duluth. It's on the lake and we're in the third generation of owning the place. Every summer of my childhood was spent up there and I have EVERY intention of continuing that tradition with my own kiddos. Do you have a cabin too?

I'll be relaxing. I wish we could go camping, but my 8 month pregnant butt + lack of tent/AIR MATTRESS would make it not so fun. I do love camping though. Maybe next summer it'll be better for that.
