    I <3 My Daycare Parents!

My contract with one dcfamily is that they use up to five days between Monday and Saturday and they pay me the same no matter what. DCB is virtually always here on Saturdays, as his mom's days off vary between Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, usually. It's cool, I knew it coming it, no biggie.

So this week, he was here Monday through Friday--a rarity. DC parents had a wedding to go to today and asked if I could watch dcb for just a couple hours in the middle of the day. No problem, I said yes, as i feel like Saturday is his normal day, so how could I say no? I'm here anyway all day (DH works).

DCparents were later than expected picking him up, but again I didn't care because it wasn't past his normal Saturday pick-up time or anything, and again...having him on Saturday is normal to me. Imagine my surprise when at pick-up she hands me $20 and says, "Here, this is for taking him an extra day this week. Thank you so much!"

My jaw about dropped open and I thanked her profusely! I am still so tickled...I never would have thought to ask for it or expect such a thing because it felt like a normal day to me! I'm still grinning from ear to ear about it and it happened like 7 hours ago.

That was sweet but did they pay you for an extra day since you watched him 6 days this week?

This...they gave you a $20 in addition to paying you for the extra day? That is a nice gesture!
