What do you guys think of this?
Contracted Hours:
Upon your initial interview you are to specify the hours that you need childcare for, these become your contracted hours. The earliest drop off available Monday – Friday is 7:30am, the latest pick up available Monday – Thursday is 5:15pm and the latest pick up available on Friday is 4:30pm. Shorter scheduled hours (7:30am – 4:30pm) will take precedence over longer scheduled hours (7:30am – 5:15pm). Each family will be given a 10-minute window either way at drop off, the only exception is for a 7:30am drop off which will be given a 30 minute window extending to 8:00am.
Ex. Your contracted drop off time is 8:00am, the earliest you can drop off is 7:50am and the latest you can drop off is 8:10am. The provider will accept a later drop off only if the parent calls in ahead of time to inform her that they is going to be late. Please do not make a habit of dropping off late. The provider will accept an earlier pick up time with an attached fee of $1.00/minute for every minute earlier than 7:50am. If you show up early to drop your child off, the best way to avoid this fee is to wait in your vehicle until 7:50am.

The provider will never accepted an earlier than 7:30am drop off and the daycare doors will remain locked until 7:30am on the bell.
Families will not be able to clock the extra minutes if they drop off late to extend their pick up time.
Families will be given a 15-minute window extending past their contracted pick up time. The only exception is if your contracted pick up time is 5:15pm, you will be expected to pick up only on or before 5:15pm. A $1.00/minute late fee will be attached to any minute(s) extending past your 15-minute window.
Ex. Your contracted pick up time is 4:30pm; the latest you can pick up your child is 4:45pm. A $1.00/minute late fee begins at 4:46pm and will continue to be added on until the parent picks up the child. Late fees are due on Monday the following week or on the first day the following week that your child attends daycare. If late fees are not paid on time a $5.00/day late fee will be attached to any outstanding fees. Bottom line: Just don’t do it!
Ex. Your contracted pick up time is 5:15pm; the latest you can pick up your child is 5:15pm. Please refer to the late fee section of your contract for fees attached to a later than 5:15pm pick up.
The provider has the right to refuse a late pick up extending past the 15-minute window attached to your contracted pick up time. If you are contracted to pick up at 4:30pm you are required to pick up your child no later than 4:45pm. I do understand that things come up and sometimes it’s difficult to make it on time, however, I am not always open until 5:15pm and often have appointments to keep.
If you need to make a change to your contracted hours please submit a request in writing to the provider. The provider may not accept all contract hour changes and a fee may be applied for longer hours needed.
