    Textured Walls

Any ideas on getting things to stick to textured walls??

I have a few things on the wall, BUT they keep coming down because of the bumpy walls. Idk how to explain the texture other than bumpy.

I have tried packaging tape. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.

If you have any ideas, let me know!
    Thanks!

What are you trying to put on the walls?

Poster cover and I mean cover the entire back with small loops of masking tape.

Are you sure it is the texture of the wall? When was the last time the wall was painted? From what i remember from my teaching days, when the walls where painted over the summer it took until Chrsitmas before anything would stick to the walls. Yes untill Christmas.

Let me add, I'm in pretty much the same boat...the old owners of this house textured a lot of the walls and it's annoying. I hate it. We just painted over the weekend and man, was it annoying...

I have tried using half perforated walls before and they did look really nice and a great accent to the wall designs but when kids start to get rough and bump into them, you will often see them one by one popping out, which just wrecks the whole thing.

We have also tried that marble finish wall on another wall and it was a simple yet good addition aesthetically. But the problem lies with cleaning it.

Some also complain that the holes or cracks in between can house ants, and lots of them.

I have found the puddy works the best.

Another idea.....2 or 3 small cup hooks, with fish line strung and looped across, and attched posters etc. with small clothes pins, big paper clips, etc. I was looking at Walmarts office supplies and they have some really cute varieties of paper clips that would not a chocking hazard.

Thanks so much, everybody!! I bought some sticky tac stuff today and am hoping it will do the trick!

I am trying to put LOTS of stuff on the walls actually...My calendar, ABC's, weather, days of the week, months of the year, etc...All posters.

I may possibly do the sticky tac AND lots and lots of tape. I REALLY want it to stay!! I painted the walls a couple years ago, and there's another two rooms with the same texture and nothing sticks there either. So I guess it's the texture.

Didn't know it'd take that long for paint to be ready to stick things to!! That's crazy!

Thanks so much for the advice. I'll try it tomorrow and see if it works!!
