    Another CL Ad

Hello, my name is ***xx. I am a 26 year old stay at home mother to 3 boys. I have lived in ***x for 3+ years. My 2 older boys attend ***x Elementary. My youngest is 1 month old.

I am currently breastfeeding my infant and am offering babysitting to someone who would like their child breastfed while in my care. I have previously donated my breast milk.

I am in good health. I follow a healthy diet. I do not smoke and I am not a regular drinker. Diet restrictions can also be discussed if your child has a sensitivity.

I have worked in a group home for developmentally disabled children, a daycare for ages 6 months-12 years, and I have babysat in my home and out of my home for 6+ years. I also have 3 CDE units and am a psychology major.

I have full support in my home to breastfeed and my house is well prepared for the care of a child under 1.

    I can also cloth diaper.

Rates are $15 an hour for daytime and $10 an hour for overnights.

If you'd like to get together to talk further, please email me.

Care is offered for daytime hours or overnights.

Not too sure of how many women would like another to bf their child. Nor do I know of too many people who can afford to pay $150 a day for daycare.

used to be the norm of the rich, to have a wet nurse. NOT saying I am ok with it just that it used to be very common like 100 years ago

Yes, she's crazy for wanting that much an hour but I think it's sad that this it the way wet nursing is looked at now. It used to be the norm. My grandmother even did it! I would never post an ad like that but I don't think nursing another baby would be strange. I actually offered once when I was watching my best friend's baby. The baby was having a really hard time with the bottle and I had major over supply. I ended up donating a butt load of milk to a baby on the other side of the US....enough that she was fed my milk exclusively (even though my infant and toddler were still nursing).

My bil had a wet nurse 62 years ago.

              Today, I would say no.

                I actually did it!
My best friend was in a car accident and her 3 month old baby was freaking out and starving. She hadn't eaten in 18 hours and we were having a hard time keeping her awake. Nothing helped, she refused to drink out of a bottle. We squirted it down her throat and even trickled it and she threw up.
So the family begged me to nurse her and I did.
She thrived and the mom got better over time.

                        I know!!
I would never breast feed another baby in daycare. I don't care if the mother gives permission.
                        Just ew!!

I am not saying I would do that, but I really don't see it as gross. After all it's just breastmilk and that is the best for baby, it doesn't matter where it comes from. If I was really sick or in an accident and had a friend who offered I would be grateful.

I know it's just breast milk but what I think people are thinking is the baby nursing and that is a private (I want to say intimate, but not sure that's the right word) act between mother and baby. I don't mean intimate in a romantic way. It's just crossing the line. Pumping and donating milk... o.k. but not the actual nursing part...
