My guys are pretty much ready to go back...I've been slipping "school" things back into our routine...morning circle, worksheets, etc and reminding them that we only have x days til back to school...more so for my benefit than theirs

When I whipped out the handwriting practice this morning, they kinda looked at me funny though...

      It's time!

I think you know when it's time to go back to school when:

You say "put your seat belts on" when you walk in the house...

You aim your keyless entry button at the front door expecting the doors to unlock

You keep calling him- her and her- him

You go through the whole list of names trying to figure out that kids name!
the whole time the kids giggling

You call lunch- dinner and breakfast -lunch

Then at the end of the day when it's "you" time ... you fall asleep while fast forwarding your d.v.r.

Yes and no ~ the older school agers are getting antsy and ready to go back and in the meantime driving me bonkers, but this year I have 4 kindergarteners that I am sending off to school. I've had 3 of them since they were babies, so it's going to be a big change around here.

Yes, of course since my own two kids, and the one school ager have magically ran out of things to do??? On random days I will have to have given them 10 things to do throughout the day.

But no, because this has been a fun summer with my and my own kids on weekends and nights. I wish that the nice days would last all year. But sadly I know winter is on the way!

YES, but for a different reason. My kids are all grown. I don't take school age. I have all babies/toddlers. But I'm ready for COOL weather!!!! We got to go out one day last week, b/c it was in the low 90's. First time since early June. They had sooooooo much fun and slept soooooooo good!
