    So Excited But Worried

Hello I have used this forum a few times but I really like it so I would love to come on here for advise more offten I have been doing home daycare for sometime now and my first mistake was not becoming register, 2nd mistake was not having contracts put in place So now I have decided to become group with my sister. I will then have 16 children in my care. I also charge 20 per day for one and their sibling is 10 extra I am making good money but not for as many children I watch. So should I when I become register, make contracts for those moms and dads that already are in my care? Also should I raise my rates? I dont claim only because if you dont make enough to claim. I heard you dont anyways:confused: Well I would love to claim becuase then I could get cars in my name instead of my hubbys all the time and my credit score will go up because I have credit card not in default but they see I have no income coming in myself so they think im one to rack up a credit card when I really pay them off . srry so long, so what should I do with the old dcp keep it the same or raise the rates so we both can claim . any and all advise it very appriciative. srry mispelled:{ Also I am going to night school so become a medical assistant so is this a waste of time to become register when I gratuate next Aug? Thanks to all

Will your sister then take over the dc or will you close it? I would start by starting the new familes at a higher rate then trickle down to current ones. I have in my contract that i will raise the rates once a year with a one months written notice. I only raise them $5.00 a week ea. not much of a raise but its something.
I would absolutely, positively put everyone under a contract. ( I would be happy to send you a copy of mine if youd like)
So you graduating in a year? Use the dc to help with income and then give them adequtae notice if your gonna close.
How hard is it to get registered where u live? If its not to hard I would. Hope this helps. Good luck .
