Daycare Ladies Make Up Weird Songs!!

My 20 month old did a stinky! So I bust out in song! Of course I make it up as I go along. It went something like this... Stinky stinky boody, stinky stinky butt, stinky stinky boody, stinky butt, stinky boody, WHOO! Stinky butt. You know that song Woolly Bully? It's sung to that tune.

So, what goofy songs have you guys made up? OR.... am I the only one who does this?

Nah, not the only one. I sing nonsense a lot to my own kids, not as much to the dcks. I'm not sure why...just one of those giggle-inducing things that I save for my own progeny I guess. We sing songs while I prep lunch though (they sit in the kitchen with me while I do it) and most of the time it's only me singing. So, I stick to the normal words (unless it's Wheels on the Bus or Old MacDonald)
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I sure do! But this actually reminded me of a lady I used to work with. She would make up songs all the time giving the kids instructions (sit on your bottom, sit on your bottom..hands in your lap, hands in your lap). She would start out sounding all nice and by the end of the song she had morphed into her mad voice...but still singing Drove me nuts!

I do it too, especially if rocking one. Usually because I can't remember the words to the real song LOL.

I change words to songs all the time! They usually aren't overly silly. Sometimes it's more of a teaching song for like their phone number or something. Other times it's about something that's going on, which I guess is more of a silly thing. I'm just glad the kids don't repeat the songs when they go home!

My Co-worker (PreK Teacher) sings just about everything to the children. They LOVE it! She's got 18 years under her belt - I've learned a lot from her.

Unfortunately, I know I don't have a solo voice. A chorus voice yes, but not a solo voice. My kids used to scream when I sang. It's taken me a while to get the confidence up to sing again. (poor kids!) ::
