    Name Help

Do you all have names for your dayhome? I was just wondering if I need to start brain storming for names or just go with nothing.
Also do you have FIN or do you just use your ss #?

I have some name Ideas, I just know if they are catchy enough.

    I like

lil sprouts and that really all I can come up with. SO suggestion would help.
    Thank you.

Lil Sprouts is cute! There's lots you could do with a logo with that name for tshirts, business cards and such

I'm rather boring, I just use my name.

My name is Great Beginnings Child Care and my slogan is Where Great Memories Begin.

I have a TIN. I would never give out my SSN.

I use to have Just about kids, but after a while I felt it was too hard for parents to remember and find my website.

now I have 123 early start I think www.123earlystart.com and www.123earlystart.blogspot.com is much easier to remember.

A possible suggestion is to look at daycare lists in another states since trying to do the brain work yourself. You might see something that will be perfect or something that will inspire.

My daycare is 'The Childminder, Inc.' and have it incorporated for tax purposes, and I have an EIN# to use for tax purposes. DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT YOUR SSN# to anyone. Check your local county DBA(Doing Business As)list for the name you choose someone in your state/county might be using the name already. I went on line and checked then applied for my DBA. I think it cost ?$25? or so. I have seen Lil Sprouts on a forum before but don't know if it is a registered name or not.
            I see little people.

bre1313 makes a great point here in regards to future branding. Try to pick a name that is also available in the .com and register it since much of the future business will flow through the internet. That will offer many new options.

As an example; IF I registered 456EarlyStart.com I could point that name to any page on the internet. If I also had a listing on daycare.com (or any other site) I could "point" 456EarlyStart.com to that listing page and it would show up if someone put in 456EarlyStart.com in their browser instead of https://www.daycare.com/php/showlist...D=00011938&p=1

That would make is easier to put on stationary and you would ALWAYS own that brand. Likewise it is a lot cheaper then starting a website.

I was fortunate to register my son's name in the 90s and when he meets people he tells them his name is Jonathan.com which always starts a conversation. They can then easily contact him later through the internet because it is his brand and easy to remember.

I hope I didn't make this too complicated. If anyone would like to know more about this topic you can always PM me.

My name is Green Gate Preschool "Where Learning Comes to Life". I think having a name is good...more professional and sets you into a more business "class" instead of babysitter.

Lil' Sprouts is cute. I always like nature inspired names and that one is really cute. To brainstorm make a web of all kinds of words that come to mind in different categories and then mix and match to find the right fit...
