    Dance Party!

If the heat is too much, try an indoor dance party to get some energy out! Fun! I was kinda sick of the "kiddie" tunes, so instead, we watched/listened/danced to a concert video today. I was AMAZED how much the kids LOVED the Grateful Dead in concert!!! (DC, 1991, summer tour). "Look! Two drummers!" "Oh they have balloons!". "Wow! Cool guitar!" And this was super funny : "Look, its Mr._____" (my husband). LOL! :: He DOES look like Bob Weir a little bit!!!!

Ya gotta have days like that sometimes! We would bring in fun and different kinds of music to play and dance to. It was a "sanity saver" thing us teachers would do. And if the parents walked in while we were dancing and jamming to Michael Jackson we would just say (jokingly) it was our music appreciation part of our lesson plan! I think it's good for the kids to see the teachers "let their hair down" sometimes.

      We do it here, too.

Mine love to sing and dance to the musical CATS and The Blueman Group.

Mungojerrie & Rumpleteazer is still the fav...::

My current group absolutely loves the Beach Boys. Definitely a sanity saver with all of the afternoons we've had to stay indoors due to the heat here!
