Does anyone know if you can have your picture retaken? I had mine renewed yesterday and the picture is HORRIBLE!!!!!! My oldest daughter looked at it and said-Mom, it doesn't even look like you. One of my daycare moms said it wasn't a good one at all and she agreed that it should be retaken. I literally wanted to cry when I saw it. They come up very close to your face and it makes my face look humungous and my eyes look like they are barely open. I really, really, don't want to carry that around for the next 8 years.

I bet if you went to your DMV they would give you a new one. Tell them you keep getting complaints that it is not your license.

Usually, our registry takes the picture and then gives a choice of accepting it or taking another shot right then and there.
In your situation, I think I'd either call or send an email to the RMV to ask what their policy is on taking another picture. It might save you a trip if, for some reason, they won't do it.Comment

Well if nothing else u could always accidentally wash it in the washing machine and NEED a new one.

Believe me, it crossed my mind! I even thought I could misplace it, have the dog chew it up, the lawnmower run over it. Wonder if they would believe that "A daycare child ate my license!" :

I showed another friend, she wouldn't even comment! I look about 20 years older than I am and just plain bad. I will update the saga of my picture when I figure something out.
Thank you everyone for your help and support. Who would think a picture on your license could cause a person this much stress!
Also, one last thing. I think I will take a mirror down to the DMV and attach it to the wall so people can check how they look and what their smile looks like right before they take the picture. Why don't they have a mirror right there? Seriously, you would think someone would put one there!Each day is a fresh start

When I was 21 I had 1 taken and my bangs were messed up. I must have wiped my forhead and shoved them all up and to the side! Back in those days I was very particular about how I looked and the pic did kinda bug me at times. One would think the person snapping the pic might say something to help a girl out u know. But then again these days who knows if it's an accidental hair goof or done on purpose.

They dont show you on a seperate screen what your picture will look like?
In Alberta they take a picture and ask you if it's ok! But that was 5 yrs ago.
Maybe they changed it all.Comment
