I Forgot How Exhausting This Was!

New dcg started today. I really forgot how exhausting it is during the first days. Thank goodness it's Thursday! This kid is super curious and I've had to be on top of her all day. More so than my last new kid. She finally got down for a nap. Definitely needed it too. Time for some lunch and ice coffee for Ms. S!

the joys of starting a new child!!! Every once in awhile I get lucky and get one that just jumps right in like he/she has been her for years....

Then you get the one that puts you to work and test your limits!! haha..

Enjoy a nice break and know that there is light at the end of the tunnel...........

She's really very cute, but she's never been in care before. She's a bright little girl and should learn the routine fairly quickly. It's harder today because my other little guy is not here to show her the ropes.

And my ice coffee was divine! Did you know Hershey's makes a Dark Chocolate syrup?? I used a bit of that instead of sugar. YUM!

I know how you feel. I just started a new dcg on the second shift and while I'm sure she'll adjust and it will be just fine, the last week has been such work!!! Can we fast forward two weeks please?

Ha ha I just started a new DCG 4yo today too and oh man has it been BUSY, LOUD and NONSTOP CORRECTING ... funny thing is, she's awesome and a total sweetheart. It's all of my other DC kids that are WAY too excited to have a newbie in the group. It's like if they all want to impress her I feel your pain, let me tell you.

Glad we can all commiserate together!

I'm so tired and DH will not be home before our kids go to bed. Everyone, even me, had nuked nuggets and blueberries for dinner. Zzzzzz

Whenever ya all feel discouraged just think of me! I only do drop-ins so it's allllways a "new" kid Even if they have been here before they usually aren't here long enough to get any kind of routine. I have many iced coffee days haha!

I'll be in your shoes come Monday. My 3 and 5 yo have been home with Mommy for a month. Mommy is a negotiator, I'm not. I'm looking for a rough week.
